Royal speaks of struggling to cope with her new life in interview for ITV documentary.
梅根王妃在接受英国独立电视台纪录片采访时，谈到她正在努力应对新的生活。
The Duchess of Sussex has revealed she was warned before her marriage to Prince Harry that the British tabloids would “destroy” her life, as she spoke of struggling to cope with the reality of being part of the royal family.
苏塞克斯公爵夫人透露，她在与哈里王子结婚前就被警告说，英国小报会“毁掉”她的生活，因为她需要努力应对成为王室一员所要面对的现实。
In an interview for the ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, she said the last year had been “hard” and that she had had “no idea” of what she would face.
 
在接受英国独立电视台纪录片《哈利里与梅根：非洲之旅》的采访时，她说，过去的一年“很艰难”，她不知道自己将面对什么。
“When I first met my now husband, my friends were really happy because I was so happy. But my British friends said to me: ‘I’m sure he’s great. But you shouldn’t do it because the British tabloids will destroy your life,’” she told the interviewer, Tom Bradby, in the film, broadcast on Sunday.
“我第一次见到现在的丈夫时，我的朋友们真的很高兴，因为我太高兴了。但我的英国朋友对我说：“我相信他很棒。但你不应该这么做，因为英国小报会毁了你的生活，”她在周日播出的节目中对采访者汤姆·布拉比说。
She said she had “very naively” told her friends: “What are you talking about. That doesn’t make any sense. I’m not in the tabloids.” She added: “I didn’t get it. So, it’s been complicated.”

Meghan was speaking during the couple’s recent tour of southern Africa, during which it was announced she was suing the Mail on Sunday over an allegation that it unlawfully published a private letter she sent to her estranged father, Thomas Markle.

Meghan appeared close to tears as she spoke of coping with the pressure, particularly after the birth of their first child, Archie. “It’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes,” she said. “The biggest thing that I know is that I never thought it would be easy, but I thought it would be fair. And that’s the part that’s really hard to reconcile.”

Asked if she could cope with the pressure, she said: “I have said for a long time to H – that’s what I call him –That’s not the point of life. We’ve got to thrive. We’ve got to feel happy.”

Asked if the counter-argument was that incredible power, privilege, fame and wealth came with scrutiny, she said: “That completely tracks for me if things are fair.” But, she said, “when people are saying things that are just untrue, and are being told they are untrue but they’re still allowed to say them, I don’t know anybody in the world that would feel that’s OK.
她还被问及怎么看待另一种观点：“你们所拥有的权力、特权、名望和财富都需要在受到大众的监督。”她说：“如果所说的事情是公平的，真实的，那对我来说是完全可以接受的。”但是，“当人们都是在捏造事实，而且也有人告诉他们这是虚假的，但他们仍然还可以说出来时，我不相信世界上有谁会觉得这没关系。
“And that’s different to scrutiny … it’s a really different beast. I know what it seems like it should be. That’s OK. The good thing is I have my baby, and my husband, and they’re the best.”

Bradby, who has been a friend of Harry’s for 20 years, said the strain the 35-year-old royal was under pressure was increasingly clear. Harry admitted he had to constantly manage the pressure. 
布拉比是哈里王子20年的朋友，他说这位35岁的皇室成员所承受的压力越来越明显。哈里承认他必须不断地调节压力。

Speaking of the death of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, he said: “And now I have a family to protect, so everything that she [Diana] went through, and what happened to her is incredibly raw, every single day. And that’s not me being paranoid. That’s just me not wanting a repeat of the past.

He added: “But again for me, and for my wife, of course there is a lot of stuff that hurts, especially when the majority of it is untrue. But we need to focus on being real, and focus on being the people that we are, and standing up for what we believe in.”

Harry also addressed a reported rift between him and his brother, the Duke of Cambridge, claims of which emerged when he and Meghan broke away from the Cambridges to set up their own private office away from Kensington Palace.
哈里还谈到了他和他的兄弟剑桥公爵之间被爆出的关系裂痕，媒体报道称当他和梅根离开剑桥公爵夫妇，在肯辛顿宫之外建立自己的私人办公室时，这一裂痕就出现了。
Asked if such reports were true, Harry said: “Part of this role, and part of this job, and this family being under the pressure that it’s under, [is that] inevitably stuff happens. But look, we’re brothers. We will always be brothers. We are certainly on different paths at the moment … we don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy.
